What ALM Pro 6 does for your users
When an employee signs in to Windows, ALM Pro detects the Cisco IP phone connected to the PC and logs it in to their Extension Mobility profile. No user ID, no PIN on the keypad. The phone logs out automatically on events such as screen lock, Windows log off, screensaver, shutdown, hibernation or undocking a laptop. Administrators decide which events apply.
What you get with ALM Pro
-
Support for CUCM 15 and earlier releases, on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
- AXL connection to CUCM for faster, smoother logon and logoff.
- Active Directory integration: the phone logs in with the user’s Windows login name, so users never need an Extension Mobility PIN.
- Smart phone detection via CDP and LLDP; if no phone is found, ALM Pro asks for the extension number instead.
- Failover to a secondary CallManager when the primary is unavailable, with encrypted traffic between client and CUCM.
- Personal logon history, so users and support can see when the phone logged in and out.
- Inventory Manager support for VDI, Remote Desktop and Wi-Fi phones, where direct detection is not possible.
- Scripted roll-out with an .msi package and a central settings file (almsettings.txt).
Upgrading from ALM Pro 5
Existing customers need a new license file for version 6. We provide it free of charge. Licensing stays the same: one license per PC/phone combination, not per user.
Updated documentation is available in our administrator guides, including the CUCM 15 configuration manual, the .msi installation guide and the Active Directory authentication guide.
